Obituary of Gertrude (Careen) Follett

Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, Gertrude (Careen) Follett; formerly of Point Lance, SMB, age 86 years. Predeceased by her husband, (William); parents, Joe and Katie Careen; brothers, Richard, Johnny, Jimmy, Joseph, Bartholomew, and Patrick; sisters, Carmel, Agnes, Catherine and Ann; newphew, Ricky and niece, Debbie. Leaving to mourn are her brothers, Harold (Sara), Peter, Andrew (Agnes), Phil (Yvonne); sisters, Margaret Morrissey, Nellie Moore and Selina Careen. Her special friend and cousin, Lena Moore. She also leaves with loving memories, her dear friends in the United States, who very much like family to her; Dolores Fox (deceased) and her children, Louise Thomas, Glen Fox, Robert Fox, Deborah Fox (deceased) and Caroline Mitchell and their families; also a large circle of nieces and nephews. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Remains will be resting at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church in Point Lance, St. Mary's Bay on Saturday, February 15th beginning at 3:00 p.m until Monday, February 17th at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to take place at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church on Monday, February 17th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Point Lance, SMB.
